BVLOS

A twist on the Planter's Punch for my drone flying friends.

This is another drink I concocted for the Tiki Tuesday event that I hosted for the 2020 Commercial UAV Expo. It's a play lesson in how far a few changes can take the traditional Planter's Punch.

For those of you not in the aviation industry, BVLOS stands for Beyond Visual Line of Sight, as in, "After two of those drinks everything was BVLOS!"

BVLOS

Source -Bamboo Sam

• 2 ounces POG*

• 1/4 ounce grenadine

• 1/2 ounce falernum

• 1/2 ounce gold Jamaican rum*

• 1/2 ounce dark Jamaican rum

• 1 ounce Demerara rum*

• 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Pour each ingredient into a mixing tin and flash nblend in a spindle mixer for 5 seconds. Gated pour into a Tiki mug and garnish with mint leaves and a cherry picked to an orange.

*Bamboo Sam's customizations: POG is just passion fruit juice, orange juice, and guava nectar mixed in equal parts. For the Jamaican rums it's all about how much funk you want. I add a bit using Doctor Bird Jamaica rum and smooth it out with El Dorado 5 yr for my demerara rum.
