A modified Daiquiri for the flying class.
This is a drink I concocted for a Tiki Tuesday event that I hosted for the 2020 Commercial UAV Expo. It's a play on the daiquiri with a nod to the use of UAV's (drones) in the wedding industry. That being the subject, I opted for passion fruit, banana, and coconut flavors (naturally...)
Here's the video from the event showing how to make the Wedding Wings daiquiri.
Wedding Wings
Source -Bamboo Sam
1/4 ounce lime juice
2 ounces passion fruit juice
1/4 ounce Creme de Banana*
1/2 ounce coconut rum*
1 1/2 ounce blended rum*
Pour each ingredient into a shaker and shake with one cup of crushed ice. Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon or lime rind.
*Bamboo Sam's customizations: For the Creme de Banana I prefer Tempus Fugit as it tastes more like bananas foster than a banana snow cone. I went with Rum Haven for the coconut rum as it's a little less sweet than the Cruzan I normally use. For the rum I like using something light and dry like Brugal Dry or for something with more presence try Plantation 3 Star.
